Job Overview (Short)
The Junior Engineer / Engineer – Sub Contracting is responsible for managing and coordinating subcontracting activities for multiple construction projects. The role includes preparation and administration of subcontractor work orders, rate analysis, contractor finalization, and post-contract coordination to ensure timely execution, cost control, and compliance with technical specifications and contractual terms.

Key Responsibilities
    1. Develop a strong understanding of subcontracting processes, scope definitions, specifications, and commercial terms for construction projects.
    2. Handle multiple projects simultaneously with respect to post-contract subcontracting activities.
    3. Study drawings and prepare detailed BOQs with specifications for subcontract works.
    4. Prepare rate analysis for RCC, finishing items, and other subcontracted works, including machinery hiring.
    5. Prepare comparison statements for subcontractors’ quotations and support finalization decisions.
    6. Prepare and issue Letters of Intent (LOI) and subcontractor work orders for multiple projects.
    7. Finalize subcontractors through effective negotiation on rates, scope of work, and commercial terms while maintaining strong professional relationships.
    8. Verify subcontractor work orders for accuracy in scope, rates, terms, and conditions before issuance.
    9. Prepare and maintain monthly subcontractor work order tracker reports.
    10. Maintain and update the subcontractor database with detailed information and performance records.
    11. Prepare subcontractor evaluation reports based on performance, quality, and compliance.
    12. Update and maintain project-wise subcontractor rate and price lists.
    13. Coordinate with site teams to resolve subcontract-related issues and ensure smooth execution of work.
    14. Coordinate with the accounts department regarding subcontractor billing, payment certification, and payment timelines.

Preferred Qualification & Experience
